What we'll do for you?


  • Give you basic knowledge about radon and radon mitigation systems
    A Specialist that has been trained and certified by NEHA will sit down with you and give you the basic understanding of mitigation concepts. They will provide you with expert experience and knowledge that will give you an effective and efficient mitigation system.
  • Design a system for your home.
    A Specialists will help design and set-up a maintenance free system.
  • Drill a hole for 1 suction point.
    A Specialists will drill a 4" hole for you to create a suction pit.
  • Provide you with most of the materials for the system including:
    Radon fan (standard size) with cord.
    Rubber couplers for fan.
    U-tube manometer.
    Up to 40' of 4? PVC pipe (more can be provided at additional cost)
    Estimated elbows/fitting that will be needed (Includes up to seven fittings).
    Sump cover (if needed).
    Pipe hangers for PVC pipe (Includes up to 4 hangers).
    Roof penetration flashing for pipe (if needed).
    2 radon test kits for follow up test
    PVC cement.
    One tube of caulk to seal penetrations.
  • Above is the basic package that will be required for most homes. We can also provide materials and advice for other unique situations such as:.
    Exterior box fan: add $85 (includes two exterior pipe hangers).
    Additional holes for suction points: add $50 each
    Crawl space sealing materials (priced per project).

 

What You'll Have To Do?


  • Dig a suction pit after hole in concrete is drilled
    After we drill the hole in the concrete you'll need to dig out a suction pit from underneath the slab. The Specialists will go over the requirement of the pit in the design consultation.
  • Run PVC pipe from suction point to exhaust point above roof
    Cement together the pvc pipes and fittings.
  • Install fan in designated place
  • Provide electrical outlet for fan
    We always recommend that if you need an outlet for your fan in the designated place that you call a licensed electrician.
  • Install U-tube manometer
  • Install and seal sump cover (if needed)
    If you require a sump pump cover one will be provide with the purchase of our do it your self system.
  • Caulk cracks/penetrations in basement floor
  • Provide the following materials (available at any home store)
    Miscellaneous pipe fittings (can be purchased from us or a hardware store).
  • Some of the tools that you will need:
    Basic hand tools (hammer, screwdrivers, tape measure, saw, pry , etc...)
    Level
    Jig saw or reciprocating saw.
    Drill or screw gun with bits
    Caulk gun
